Hi dad. How are you?

Anthony just opened the door to check on me. I’m on day two now of possibly having Covid 19. Secluded in the basement with all the luxuries of hard work. We have a playroom with a smart tv and a laundry room with a shower and toilet. Rachael just spent a whole week down here and now it’s my turn. She is doing well and so far the kids are good too.
This has never happened in our lifetime. The USA is pretty much shut down. The world is pretty much shut down. A lot of people are dying and there are no vaccinations yet for it.
We are so blessed and are just a text away from anything we need.
The kids have been locked up in this house and the yard for 3 weeks now. Masses have been cancelled and streaming on line. Our health care workers are working without the proper equipment and that is pretty much how this invisible virus entered our home. The elderly are much more prone to serious effects of this and Rachael has already lost a few patients at work.
Rachael has not gotten results yet and it’s been a week. I was trying to stay safe while bringing her down food and taking care of her but I guess I wasn’t careful enough.
We have never been apart, never not slept in the same bed. It’s been 7 nights now and 1 since since I have been able to put the kids to bed....... this sucks. I hope they don’t get this shit.
I feel ok. The fever hasn’t gone away, coughing, aches, and now I’m here.

I salute and pray for all the nurses and doctors..... not all hero’s wear capes!
